2001-03-28 11:43:00 The time shown by the clock on the Windows toolbar loses exactly one hour occasionaly. It happened tonight when the clock was meant to change from 21:59 to 22:00 it instead read 21:00. Windows 98 SE is the OS. Guest (0)
2001-03-28 19:29:00 your computer is probably bit old and the battery in your motherboard has probably run out. See if you can just replace the battery and not the whole motherboard. Guest (0)
2001-03-28 20:59:00 I bought the PC 14 months ago brand new. The time differential occurred while the PC was switched on which means that the Hardware was being supplied by mains power at the time. Guest (0)
2001-03-29 13:37:00 Are your regional settings correctly set for NZ? If they were set on another country with daylight saving it may have been in the process of changing. Guest (0)
2001-03-29 20:50:00 Thanks Terry but the answer is yes. The regional settings are correct. Guest (0)
2001-04-03 09:12:00 Hi Zaphod, it does sound like an improbability problem. Does your motherboard have a battery, or a Dallas clock?
If the latter it could be faulty. Some plug in, others are soldered in. If a plug in it could be replaced, but they are a bit pricy. It sounds more like a hardware problem than software.
