| 1272211 | 2012-04-27 03:36:00 | Anyone successfully got their PC back after this.....Its quite hard supporting a client 80 minutes away, but the best I can do... Stopzilla managed to delete the 2 files, but still unable to get Malwarebytes to run or MS essentials...Cant start in safe mode as cant get internet working as its via T3G stick.. Ideas? |

Just a suggestion: get them to download Rkill (www.bleepingcomputer.com) from a clean Computer, Put it on a USB drive, ask them to start the computer normally then and run it from that USB drive,it should kill the process's and allow you to connect remotely with something like TeamViewer or what ever other remote program you are using. Look in msconfig startup files, most will put themselves there,Then run the antimalware programs. :2cents: Keep in mind that any infections must be removed and do not reboot the PC beforehand, other wise rkill will need to be run again to stop them from starting on a reboot. Then of course go through and fix the damage it will have done ------ fun and games :) eh |
