1271178 2012-04-22 06:29:00 Which stores offers the best deals in laptop/notebooks?

What's the average price of a 13", intel i5 or i7, 4GB or more, 500GB hd or more that has a dedicated graphics card? Can you recommend some good laptops and deals near hamilton?

1271181 2012-05-08 21:58:00 I'd go into a harvey norman and ask. I've found their salespeople to be helpful, not to pushy, and pretty knowledgeable. Nick G (16709)

You jest.
They are appliance salesmen. They know nothing. They will sell you whatever they can talk you into that assists their commission.

I would stick with ASUS or Toshiba personally, reliability matters to me though.

1271185 2012-05-10 03:57:00 The stuff that ends with B, C and W is really nice. Haven't had too many experiences with the S stuff, those are the cheaper probooks that don't have a docking option. The older ones had some issues where the power connector wasn't attached that well and would snap the plastic. Easy to fix with hot glue, but still. Not sure about the latest ones. Alex B (15479)
1271186 2012-05-10 22:37:00 Hey there

I have just got in the HP 8460p in at work and these are the EliteBook versions of the 4530s
The ProBooks are only meant to last 12months before being returned compared to the EliteBook version which are meant to last 18 to 36months.

As a Laptop they are good solid all metal machines. They are quite heavy but I don't believe anything would fall off them or break.
We have had a couple of faults with the machines so far a keyboard that didn't work and a dead hard drive not bad out of 100 or so.

HP are usually good ( i have a DV6) Toshiba are nice as well.

Just shop round have a look at the stores around and online.
