| 1249351 | 2011-12-19 01:47:00 | I don't know about RD1 but most companies these days (should) get employees to sign an "Acceptable Use Policy"/contract before even letting them near a computer, so you know what the does and don'ts are, especially with regard to confidential information. So, you indulge in "cyber bludgeing" at your own peril. Bet he's the sort that complains when he gets a speeding ticket as well! :illogical |

I know Uni Otago is doing the odd look-see into what people working there are receiving/sending in the in the way of email content ... my brother works there and he sent me a copy of the "rules" he received from the HOD last year. The Uni / Poly have restricted access to all P2P sites for students and have measures in place to block a lot of other sites. I suspect that some of the measures in place rely on "key words", which is a bit of a problem because I always call my elder brother "Co_k" ... there is an obvious reason for this if you knew our surnames ... :D I actually like the way my ISP (Telecom) get rid of all the "performance enhancing" advertising before it ever gets into my inbox ... even though I'm getting to the age where some assistance would be appreciated in certain areas at certain times ... :blush: I really can't say in open forum what I'd like to do with anyone peddling child porn ... it has affected our family in ways which I can't really go into in detail, but I can say that one of my family was on the receiving end and, if I had known at the time, I really don't know what the outcome may have been ... |
