1248528 2011-12-14 05:54:00 How often do you run security checks? Ie/ virus, spyware, others ..

I hardly do mine, virus is updated but I cannot recall when I ran a check. At the end of the year I generally do a tidy up. :)

1248529 2011-12-14 06:09:00 It's my duty every Friday night after a few beers ... turn off system restore, run CCleaner (1 stubby), Spybot (2 stubby), Malwarebytes (3 Stubby), SuperAnitspyware (4 Stubby), and MSSE (1 stubby quick scan - 2 for a full) ... then, because I'm running XP, I also use Defraggler.

I must admit that I am usually quite Fraggled myself by the time I start Defraggler and forget to switch System restore back on ... but hey, that's Saturday mornings job anyway ... :D

1248530 2011-12-14 06:18:00 Hardly. Probably monthly. All, I would do is scan it with MSSE Speedy Gonzales (78)
1248531 2011-12-14 06:35:00 yearly...if I remember. Metla (12)
1248532 2011-12-14 06:45:00 I only do a manual scan when MSE reminds me :p pcuser42 (130)
1248533 2011-12-14 07:17:00 Whats a security check? :p icow (15313)
1248534 2011-12-14 07:30:00 Ccleaner runs automatically every day.
Nod32 runs automatically every Friday while doing the shopping.
SuperAntispyware I set going just before going out to do shopping, so its done by the time I get back.
Spybot once a month, but never finds anything.

1248535 2011-12-14 07:58:00 Most of my security is in real-time with Comodo Defense+ and other preventative measures like Spybot browser immunization. Agent_24 (57)
1248536 2011-12-14 08:14:00 Never (Linux) :D sahilcc7 (15483)
1248537 2011-12-14 08:35:00 As I run Linux I only do it when I have a Windows HD or box attached to my PC. mikebartnz (21)
