1248462 2011-12-13 20:37:00 I've got a PlayOn (In the bedroom) and a WDTV Live (In the living room), definitely prefer the WDTV Live.

About to get one of these for my parents though, coz the WDTV is no longer sold:

Get that and a USB HDD :)

To say I am now at a loss, the WDTV is 480, as apposed to the Chilling unit at $83.

1248466 2011-12-14 04:58:00 The older WDTV's and the one chill posted are only the device for streaming/ Playing. You would have to plug in external storage of some description

The more expensive one listed at Ascent, has a inbuilt 1TB HDD for onboard storage.

Heres a review on it western_digital_tv_live_hub_review (www.storagereview.com)

While it is expensive NOW, a few months back it would have been a lot cheaper, the price increase will be becasue of the flooding @the WD plant. ANYTHING that has a hard Drive currently has had huge price increases.

Thanks Wai, I have suggested he wait a bit for the price to come down.

I read where they are coming right again rather quickly in the Bangkok region
