| 1271639 | 2012-04-30 08:50:00 | I think they are all the same? Not sure since I have not used others, the GUI looks pretty much the same as the one I had a few years ago which was an older version of AsteriskNow. I was hoping the wizard on this page would help but looks like it's no longer there ... voxilla.com >_< Will have a break now for dinner, and come back to attack this again. Just a quick question, do I register Asterisk to Line1 of the SPA3102 and register the PSTN as an extension to Asterisk? I had someone set up Asterisk for me last time, so didn't really understand the INs and OUTs of it. Learning a lot over the last couple of days. |

| 1271640 | 2012-04-30 10:29:00 | Now I have two Android phones using CsipSimple registered as extensions (6001 and 6005) and they can call each other. Setup Line1 on SPA as 6010, PSTN as 6000, both are showing as registered on the info page on the SPA3102 GUI, Asterisk system status page also showed all four "extensions" as green. Now do I have to create a "Trunk" in Asterisk? This is where I am a bit clueless |

| 1271641 | 2012-04-30 11:06:00 | I had it setup as a trunk and as an Ext for a friend of mine (They use it for EFTPOS / FAX). Trunk: Trunk Name: PSTN Trunk details: allow=ulaw canreinvite=no context=from-pstn disallow=all dtmfmode=inband host=dynamic nat=no port=5061 secret=Kw7BiZ4G type=peer username=PSTN Almost anything should work for as an Ext, I just made sure I gave I the same password. You can then use this: forum.voxilla.com I've made a backup of the config I used for you: www.filefactory.com You ought to be able to restore using that program and then modify the proxy / username / secret to suit. Let me know how you go. |

| 1271642 | 2012-04-30 11:24:00 | Hey Chilling_Silence, thanks for the files. I tried to download that backup tool, but it appears to be gone ... The following download is not available: rapidshare.com | 1.84 MB Download parameters invalid - please try again later. Anyway downloaded your config file and can read it as HTML, I will go through the options and try it out shortly, great bed time reading ... NOT. 0_O |

I tried to use the File editor but there are like gazillions conf files, do you know which file these config live in? I have looked in sip.conf, extensions.conf, extconfig, Asterisk.conf and a bunch of others. Haven't figured out the CLI commands to enter those parameters manually either, the core show help command isn't much help. I think it will have to wait till tomorrow. Sigh. |

| 1271644 | 2012-04-30 21:45:00 | I reckon it'd be easier for you to try Elastix. Straight off the bat, Elastix has a GUI menu option clearly labelled "Trunks". I know it's another 700MB to download but it's well worth it. | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||

I know it's another 700MB to download but it's well worth it. There was a Trunk setting in the AsteriskNow GUI, just didn't have the same parameters as you have listed. The AsteriskNow VM appears to have self destructed after waking up from hibernation. The eth0 no longer works, only shows an IPV6 address, no IPV4 address. I deleted eth0 and recreated another one, even put it on static IP, still no luck. I can pull up the Asterisk GUI inside the VM, but it can't reach anything outside the VM and vice versa. Grrrr. Anyway, downloading Elastix now, another 100MB to go. |

| 1271647 | 2012-05-01 12:36:00 | The download froze at 690MB, 1MB to go and it died. Arggghhhh. Been out all evening and the second attempt have just finished downloading, will give it a spin tomorrow and let you know. :-) |
