The old Indians used to smoke the peace pipe didnt they, I wonder if that was just tobacco. Or did it come from Central or South America? |

I remember visiting Nelson as a we fella and seeing rows and rows of tobacco, was it the Rothmans company I think? If it grows in Nelson, does anybody still grow it up there or tried to grow it? My family grew tobacco In Nelson from the early 20s to the 1980s. You can grow as much as the stuff you want but you just cant sell it. Home grown stuff will kill you a lot quicker than the commercial blended stuff. Its easy to grow its actually a weed, in fact you could buy the seeds from Yates and they had instruction on how to grow it. The problem is in curing it, you would probaly have to use an air dried variety like Burley rather than a kiln dried variety. |

Sorry was a mind fart moment where my quote thing didnt work the way I wanted, but basically people saying similar comments all sound like bitches. Comments about no health benefits to smoking and the smell, yet alcohol turns people into out right ****s and Ive never heard of a ciggy and driving kills.... the argument of smoking in bars is nothing more than lobby groups which is filled with little bitches forcing businesses to bow down to their point of view. Personally I reckon the whole lot of these PC brigade type groups and laws could all go get ****ed. A business should be able to choose how their business runs. **** everyone else. |

Cant people just do their thing and be left alone? Do we have to **** a thousand metres away from the neighbor because they are offended by the smell? People these days just seem to me to be a bunch of whiney ****s. Express opinions, I will express mine. But I am sure Im not the only one who feels this is stupid to basically have people policing businesses to make sure they fit the PC brigade criteria.... |

No worries, and for the record, my views on drinking are pretty much the same as smoking, but you are right, alcohol is worse in the sense of what it can make people do. |

The point being that we all have a point where we believe a business practice is over the line, Sorry to say it but your argument is weak, and you can easily be pushed to a place where you would have to display hipocracy to support your argument. Moral standards within a community are decided by the weight of the majority, Like it or not the worm has turned, the squeeze will not stop and everyone will be better off for it. The whiny little bitches have had enough of the stench and are kicking arse. |
