1271599 2012-04-24 03:32:00 I had a Sony Ericson phone which I used to sync with my computer and now have a Nokia, since removing the Sony and installing the Nokia suite etc I have had issues on boot up where the computer is looking to software to install the driver and not finding it.
It locks up the computer where I cant do anything and have to shut down.
It tries so many times and there are heaps of unknown devices sitting in the Device Manager, looking at the driver details tells me it is looking at trying to install a driver for the Sony, this is weird as it is not plugged in or installed.
Any ideas on how to stop this happening?

1271600 2012-04-24 03:34:00 Delete its entries from device and under device manager / view / show hidden devices / non plug and play drivers. Also, make sure there is nothing in startup to do with the Sony. There may also be a driver entry in add/remove programs / whatever version of windows it is. Some mobile programs install a program, and the drivers (Nokia suite does this) Speedy Gonzales (78)
1271601 2012-04-24 03:49:00 Hey Speedy, done all those things, there are now over 60 entries in the Device Manager I am sure it just kept trying to install over an over again.
Nothing in startup to do with Sony, I did uninstall my Nokia suite thing last time and the connectivity cable driver after I deleted the folder in safe mode as couldnt do anything other wise, it is weird....

1271602 2012-04-24 03:57:00 Click on uninstall in that window you posted. I think it'll ask if you want it to remove it, say yes Speedy Gonzales (78)
1271603 2012-04-24 04:02:00 Have done all that several times, it just comes back when I restart! and repeats itself in an never ending loop...
am in the process of uninstalling them all again

1271607 2012-04-24 04:26:00 This may or may not help (talk.sonymobile.com). It looks (if thats what it is) takes over the USB entries in device manager Speedy Gonzales (78)
1271608 2012-04-24 06:27:00 I checked out what you posted and lo and behold all 5 of the USb root hubs were all seehcri drivers, couldn't roll back so uninstalled and rebooted and it re detected the hubs as Microsoft drivers but it did still install 2 unknown devices that were the same thing, might just go through the PC and registry and delete all reference to seehcri drivers, or just disable.
Cant believe how much trouble they have caused me... and others going by what you send me. Bad of Sony!!!
Couldn't find any of that info so well done and thanks, was driving me nuts...
