10764 2001-04-02 21:05:00 You dont say what versions of IE and Windows you are using. Some of this problem could be buggy IE, try updating to the latest from PC world CD. Before that however use Scandisk, Defrag, and if you have file and registry clean up utilities use those. Many of these problems arise because hard drives get clogged with junk, over-written dll's, ie 'the dll nightmare'. Microsoft never designed their software to run forever by ordinary mortals.
System Mechanic is a good utility for clean up, but there are many others.

10765 2001-04-02 21:34:00 Try Regcleaner. www.jv16.org Guest (0)
10766 2001-04-02 22:57:00 Another line of approach if you can follow MS instuctions, is to look at their support site at:

One common theme among postings to cure this problem is to update video drivers. I dont quite believe this but its worth giving it a go.

If you are using Win98, then after booting into DOS, you can use scanreg /fix followed by scanreg /opt. This may cure any registry problems. Also try disabling Java.

If you type the first part of the error message into Google search engine you will get heaps of sites giving advice on how to cure the problem.
