| 10871 | 2001-04-05 06:39:00 | I was wondering if there is any programs that allows you to choose which refresh rates u use instead of the one u get from Display Properties from windows. I have a new 17' microvision moniter and i find the fonts quite fuzzy when i set it on optimal refresh rate, when i use adapter default is is fine...but i find the adapter default 'eyes strainning'. If u know how i could fix this problem or u have a program that allows me to change refresh rates plz let me know. Thx | Guest (0) | ||

The software that comes with the video card should enable you to select a refresh rate. Usually extra tabs will appear in the display settings. 72 Hz is flicker free for most people. Too high a refresh rate can work the monitor video amplifiers too hard and they will have a reduced life, choose the lowest value you are comfortable with. |
