10914 2001-04-06 02:49:00 In the recent issue of PC World (April 2k1), you suggest backing up the registry to transfer DUN connections, in Win98 open the DUN folder, right click on the connection and drag it on to the desktop, and choose to 'copy here', this will paste it onto the desktop as a .dun file, so if your connection is named Xtra, it will call the file Xtra.dun, this is just a text file, which you can open and edit in notepad. Copy it to another computer (paste to desktop) and open it (don't connect) this will send the info to the DUN folder. You can then remove the file from the desktop, all the info has been stored in the DUN folder.

This might be an easier way than touching the registry, I know it works with 98, NT, ME but haven't tried on 95.
