I am having trouble with my parallel direct connection, the 2 computer find each other and it verifies the username and password, yet they can find each others shared folders (i have created them) and asks for the name of a computer, when i type the name in, it says it can't find it. I have looked up the problem on the MS Knowledge Base and have done what they say.. but this didn't work. Any Ideas? |

Have you enabled file and print sharing in Control panel/Network? |

I'm having the same problem except I'm not sure if username and password are recognised since it doesn't actually ask for them. After 'verifying username...' I get 'link disconnected'. I have also been through the whole help thing. Could it be something to do with the type of parallel port setup in the BIOS - EPP, ECP etc? Do they have to be the same? That's my next attempt. Alan. |

Im not sure on this one.. please contact me if it works with the bios config. The thing is.. I have had it working once, just onccce but it never worked again. strange. |
