I inadvertently set the 'open with' selection window to open '.wmf' files with PAINT and cannot find how to reverse this process. Can someone also tell me how to select the correct programs for opening the various graphic files when the 'Open With' window appears. |

To select a new program to associate with the .wmf extension, hold down 'Shift' while right clicking on a file with the .wmf extension, select Open with... Select the correct program such as Windows Media Player and check the box to alway open this file type with this program. |

Many thaks for the info. It did the trick as far as overcoming the problem to the point of being able to use the 'Open With' screen but none of the likely programs that are there will open the .wmf files.
Any other suggestions? Maybe I don't have the right program any more. |

Get a copy of ACDSee and use it for viewing all images - it's brilliant. |
