| 11174 | 2001-04-11 22:56:00 | Do you mean internet explorer? If so and it didnt come packaged in your operating system go to add/remove programs (but you probably already tried that). If it came as part of your operating system then as far as i know your stuck with it. If you mean windows explorer, depending on your operating system then that is also internet explorer (unless you have windows 95 etc - but you cannot remove it). If your having problems with it try upgrading to 5.5. Hope ive been of some help. Jacen |

| 11175 | 2001-04-13 03:21:00 | Stephen, It is not possible to uninstall Windows Explorer as this is part of the operating system. Even removing Internet Explorer is a major task since it integrates tightly into the system but it is not impossible if your are determined. If it can't be removed using the Add/Remove function in the control panel, go to http://www.98lite.com for the files and instructions need to remove Internet explorer from your 95 or 98 system. Removing IE should free up some system resources and reduce Windows startup time since IE is not being loaded at startup. |
