| 11142 | 2001-04-10 19:23:00 | i have tried to install netscape 6 off the last 2 PCWorld Plus CDs...when i try to run the program after installing i dont get as far as a crash. Just the netscape splash screen and after some time passes the error message ' This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down' Query is this the crash point that everybody talks about.. i am currently running netscape 4.75..does anyone have a viable solution Thanks Bill |

If you read the reviews in PC World it would probably be better to give 6 a miss altogether and stick with your existing version. I run ver 4.08 browser for certain types of file download, but I think IE 5.5 is pretty good. There does seem to have been problems with the PC World disks in loading browsers, they dont appear to have responded to complaints, or have I missed their replies? | Guest (0) | ||
| 11144 | 2001-04-16 06:16:00 | i had no probs gettin the PC World browsers to work, and i also installed netscape 6 as well, it doesnt rate with me at all, use IE 5.5 or netscape 4.75, netscape 6 seemed to jus keep crashing on me. Peace. |
