| 11333 | 2001-04-15 07:54:00 | I have run regular scandisk & defrags, but recently scandisk freezes at about 80% done. I've read the many posts about this & followed advice like: Use in safe mode: close all programs: uncheck all in selective startup: Standard & thorough, auto fix errors:use in dos mode: At the 80% done, keyboard & mouse wont work..ctl/alt/del shows a blue window displaying: System is busy or unstable..ctl/alt/del again restarts. Without a satisfactory scan, defrag wont work either, because of errors. System is P111 600, 128Mb ram,20Gb HDD,win98se,SB live,Nvida Riva TNT2. Any advice appreciated. |

| 11334 | 2001-04-16 11:30:00 | I to had this problem. I have a 28 gig hard drive. I found that by partioning the hard drive into 2 or more partions, the scandisc and defrag worked 100%. | Guest (0) | ||
