My Epson 640 will produce a printed sheet when I run a nozzle check, but it won't print a document from any application. This has happened since I reloaded Windows 98. The status bar shows a green printer icon and says 'searching' |

Try reinstalling the printer drivers, see if that helps.... |

Thanks BJ. I did try that, and when it didn't work, I got desperate and hit the F2 key during start-up. I found the parallel port was set as ECP and after changing it to Normal, the printer started operating. Do you reckon I will have upset anything else that I will find out about later? |
