| 11507 | 2001-04-18 12:12:00 | I'd like to disable some programs from starting up with Windows 2000. About 30 different programs start up, and it takes a good 3 minutes to do that. In the Startup Menu under Start> Programs> Startup Menu, there's only a couple of programs there. I know there's a whole lot more somewhere else, but I don't know where I can find the real menu. I know in Windows 98 you can run msconfig and edit the startup items easily, but I don't know of anything like that for Win2K. Is it possible to do something like that? I'd like to know. Please help! Thanks in advance, Chris |

However you will then need to manually edit your registry. OR You could try this program: www.mlin.net OR Copy msconfig from a 98 system, just ignore any settings not applicable to 2k (not such a good idea, though it works) |
