| 11541 | 2001-04-19 01:51:00 | After formatting my computer I now have the option of putting my computer to rest by standby (a very useful tool), this only workled about twice. Now when I click this option my computer goes black and funny and its not standby, the system then needs to be restarted manualy with the button. Can anyone tell me why this is and how to fix this? Thanks |

If it's the ACPI you might be able to get a new BIOS update for your motherboard manufacturer's web site to fix it. Likewise if it's windows you can get the fix from the microsoft site. If it's an old expansion card then... you got it -turf it out |
