Goto Network in your control panel, make sure the 'Primary Network Logon' is Windows Logon - Save any changes. Restart your machine When asked for a name and password just click OK. Do not fill in any details. If a confirm box pops up click OK there to. After this windows should no longer ask for a logon. NOTE: Windows will no longer save passwords - such as dialup Alternative: Install TweakUI and using that have it automatically log you on |

| 11529 | 2001-04-19 09:20:00 | Thanks for the info John. I did as you suggested but I still get the Windows User box coming up with my logon user name. Granted I don't have to type in a password, the damn box still comes up! Yes, I have installed TweakUI so that I log on automatically. How do I get rid of the User box altogether? Tony |
