| 11598 | 2001-04-20 04:21:00 | I had this problem for a long time also, everything I tried just wasn't working, in the end I either did something that did but I couldn't say what it was that finally started the thing going again. This is what I done to it, hopefully one of them will help you. 1 - Is the led on the floppy always lit, if it is you have the ribbon cable on upside down at one of the ends. 2 - check the power lead is firmly on the floppy, sometimes they go a little further than it looks like. 3 - something might have shifted inside the floppy when you moved it, with mine it seemed to work fine again when I tried it flat. I am not sure if you have a desktop or a tower style case if its a desktop there is every chance your floppy is on its side. Thats about it, doesn't really help you, if I think of anything else I will post again. Good luck. |
