| 11724 | 2001-04-23 09:35:00 | Recently I had to reinstall IE5.5 after a major malfunction. Since then, have found that History, Cookies and TIF are being deposited in new folders in Windows/Temp directory rather than Windows directory. Why? How can I correct this so that it defaults to Windows directory only? Am running Win98SE. Any help appreciated. |

| 11725 | 2001-04-23 11:17:00 | ...for some reason Internet Explorer 5.x often gets confused as to the default placement of its folders and - more often -where it will place files. You may customise/change this to suit yourself. Go: Tools > Internet Options > General Tab > Settings > Move Folder. Highlight the directory you desire and then click Apply/Okay and restart your system at the prompt. |

| 11726 | 2001-05-10 03:33:00 | Thanks for the advice. Your suggestion initially rectified the problem but it is now still reverting to the Windows/temp directory as well as the Windows directory ie. I have 2 lots of guff generating in 2 locations Any further other ideas? |
