11877 2001-04-27 08:08:00 I install the EIDOS's game Project IGI in my computer(P3 550,256M RAM,the nVidia TNT2 Pro),but when I start the program it counts the problem that 'A Fatal Exception OE has occurred at xxxx:xxxxxxxx in VXD VMM(01)+00005EB2.'.It then chucks me back to desktop, or just freezes the system completely .Sometime without any setting changed I can play it(Maybe I'v tried ten times). The same problem will occur when I install the game to the computer who's display adapter is nVIDIA TNT(2,pro,m64),it will not occur whose's adapter is nVidia's GeForce series.
I checked the DirectX Diagnose ,it shows that 'your NVDisp.drv is uncertified. So I got a certified driver(W9x-758-WHQL) and applied the driver, but after I do that ,the diagnose told the same word.
How can I solve the Problem?Does the Problem caused by display adapter?Where can I find the certified driver?
Thanks.

11878 2001-05-02 09:17:00 It is imperitive that when you reinstall video card drivers that you do it exactly as the driver distributor says!,ie: for win9x systems you can either run the exe file, or first change vid adaptor to standard vga driver, restart machine..when asked that windows has found new hardware, do not install it just cancel and continue to load windows, once this is done install new driver for video card again restart machine, then when this has been done you also need to reinstall the version of Direct X that you have on your computer as this will install the correct driver files for your vid card drivers hence the same driver file in DX diognostics.try that if it doesnt work... email your system specs to creators of IGI,also try their help files and check for any patchs from their site.
