| 11858 | 2001-04-27 04:14:00 | In previous versions this can be done by right clicking on the Explorer shortcut and typing c:\ in the Start in box or after explorer.exe For example, c:\windows\explorer.exe c:\ should start in explorer in the root directory. | Guest (0) | ||

By default, when you click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Windows Explorer, Windows Explorer opens to My Documents. If you want Windows Explorer to open to drive C: 1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then right-click Windows Explorer. 2. Click Properties, and then type the following text in the Target box: c:\windows\explorer.exe /n,/e,c:\ 3. Click OK. |

| 11862 | 2001-07-22 00:47:00 | I had also wanted to open my Explorer in my C drive. So I was pleased to find this article. I find that the above solution does not work in ME Using the same instructions I just entered C:\ in the Target box and it works just fine for me. Would someone be able to tell me what the /n and /c switches are for ? |
