Have reloaded drivers several times, each time states drivers loaded correctly.

Also tried manufactures updated drivers from their site.

11825 2001-04-26 10:03:00 Hi there John, I wonder if the Celeron 500 has the com port turned off in the bios. Sometimes the modem is configured with the com port set on the modem card. Have either of the other machines got the port turned off in the bios? I had to disable com 2 on my computer, so that the modem picked up the available port. Just a thought, but worth a try.

Regards Fred

11826 2001-04-27 06:20:00 It could be a software modem which uses your cpu's processing power. Those modems typically need a
Pentium II 233 or over, if u install them on slower computer you computer will be very unstable or the modem may not respond at all. Thats why I think it can work fine on a Celeron 500
