Every time I try to shut down windows it won't. It acts as if it wants to then decides to revert back to a normal desktop. I have checked to see if programs aren't responding but this comes up as nil. Any help in sorting or configuring this problem will be greatly appreciated. |

hi roy, check start/control panel/power options and see that you are configured to close down, when the off button is selected, rather than standby.Good luck |

This is actually very common in windoze 9x and is normally a result of the temp folder inside the windows folder being too full. Just go in and delete the contents of this folder and while your at it check for .chk files in you c:\ drive and delete these too. This will normally fix the shut down prob. failing that, if you have win98 get the shut down patch from mircosoft.com |
