| 11847 | 2001-04-27 00:45:00 | Hello again,I have a Celeron 433,128 meg of ram,a 32 meg TNT video card,56k modem,but i cant for the life of me get enough speed to beat anyone at QUAKE2 on the net.Does anyone know any tweaks i can use.I might add the bus speed of my m/board is 66mhz,would that make it slow??. Thanks in advance anyone. |

| 11848 | 2001-04-27 22:41:00 | I have a similar system, celeron 466, 128mb, 32mb tnt and a 56k modem too as well as access to ISDN. . my ping time is mostly around the 200 mark for 56k modem and 85 for ISDN (128k). I have no problem fragging campers using my 56k connection. There are only 2 options to your solution to become the king. 1st one is to increase the speed of your internet connection, Your system can handle Q2 fine. Don't use satelite connections for games like q2, there are always delays in signal transmission. 2nd option is to start practising you sore loser.... I'm at the clear net server alot , in the weekends , name is Konan.. come and get some .... |
