| 12002 | 2001-04-30 02:53:00 | With the new Employment Relations Act in effect, are employers allowed to read employees email without breaking the good faith section? Any resources/refernences/links that you know of would be appreciated. | Guest (0) | ||
| 12003 | 2001-04-30 04:52:00 | Hi My first thought without going through the act would be to suggest that any email or electronic correspondence using a system owned by an employer is subject to a certain amount of overseeing by the employer, as owner of the system. Do what you like at home using your own system, but at work you are using your employers system, and furthermore, as an employee, representing the company you work for. It may be in an employer's best interests to ensure correspondence leaving the company's server is monitored. If you don't own it, respect the priviledge of being allowed to use it, whether for business or private use. Those are my thoughts .... Matt |

Plus with products like MailMarshal out there, you never know what has been intercepted and viewed by others.. Best to keep anything personal exactly that. | Guest (0) | ||
