| 11989 | 2001-04-29 21:49:00 | I use Outlook 97. I upgraded to Outlook Express 5 and as part of the install I was asked if I wanted to import the address book into O/E. I said yes and now have lost all my contacts in Outlook 97. Nothing is in O/E either. Does anyone have any ideas please. I hope it is not 3 years of work down the toilet. Many thanks. |

Also, you are upgrading to Outlook Express ???. Check on your drive for a .pab file.. This file is where your contacts are stored.. Once you have found the location of your addresses, fire up Control panel, then Mail and Fax and check that Personal address book is a service included in your profile, if it is not, then add it and browse to the location of the pab file you found before. If that doesn't work, Fire up Outlook 97 and on the File menu, select import and export, choose import from another program or file, then choose Personal address book and once again browse to the file.. If you cannot find the pab file then you are out of luck. If it was important, you would have backed it up. ( I know you didn't want to hear that ) Cheers Max |
