| 1272912 | 2012-04-30 07:32:00 | I seem to have lost Arial font from Windows 7. I think it disappeared after a Win 7 upgrade. The result is that spreadsheets and Word documents do not display or print properly. Has anyone else had this happen?. Can anyone tell me how to find fonts and reinstall them in Windows? Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks John |

| 1272914 | 2012-04-30 07:40:00 | Yes I guess it could be but I thought that Windows managed fonts for any program running under Windows. Any ideas how I can reload Arial (and Arial Narrow) so that Word and Excel can use them? | John Robb (825) | ||

| 1272916 | 2012-04-30 09:55:00 | Not sure if im right but i dont think its win7 fault its Microsoft offices fault . Arial is a font that comes with windows . It would have been misplaced in the upgrade . Yes I guess it could be but I thought that Windows managed fonts for any program running under Windows . Correct Any ideas how I can reload Arial (and Arial Narrow) so that Word and Excel can use them? If not there should be a font manager in control panel? which allows you to install new fonts . |

| 1272918 | 2012-05-01 23:22:00 | Yes I think you are probably right in that there are several other fonts missing as well . Also I seem to have another problem and that is everytime I turn the computer off it comes up with a message that it is installing an upgrade for Win 7 which it proceeds to do . This takes up to half an hour and seems to be the same upgrade every time . Do you think I should get a complete reinstall of Win7 done? Arial is a font that comes with windows . I have had four computers all on W7 for over 2 years and none of them have been upgraded. About the fonts. Open the Fonts folder in Widows and check to see if the Ariel fonts are missing. If they are go to any computer running Windows 7 or XP and copy the Ariel fonts to a Thumb drive. Copy the Fonts to your W7 Fonts folder, they will install automatically. |
