2012-04-29 23:25:00 | Hi all, Video's refuse to upload to my Facebook page. Its not FB becuase I emailed the vid to a friends Mac and it uploaded no sweat, therefore the problem must be with my computer - running XP and Firefox. This happened once before (a month ago) and someone told me to uninstall and re-install Flash. Did this and it worked. With this latest issue I have done the following without sucess: - Checked the FB help - absolutely useless and they will not contact you, no matter how much you beg. - uninstalled and re-installed Flash - did updates on my Firefox. - Tried to upload via Internet Explorer. - tried to upload several different encodes of the vid (.avi, .flv, mp4...) - tried re-uploading a vid that I had previously uploaded without a problem STILL NO FRICKEN LUCK???? Any ideas PLEASE.... with the exception of ditching FB???? Cheers all you good people out there in PressF1-land

2012-04-30 00:31:00 | When you try to upload, what exactly happens ? Does it error with a message ( if so what is it), or hang etc ? | wainuitech (129) | |
2012-04-30 02:49:00 | Sorry 4 dalayed response. Gamejunkie = yes, there appears to be some problem with my Java, won't even update. Says there is a conflict with my internet settings although I spoke to a tech at my ISP and cant find problem. How do you fix your Java. I thought maybe you uninstall and re-install, but cant find it in my add/remove programmes... and then even if I was to uninstall, where do I reinstall from, an internet download?? Wainuitech = when I try to upload the vid to FB the upload bar doesn't even register, doesn't move, and you can leav it for half an hour and a 2mb still will not upload. Any suggestions please...

2012-04-30 03:02:00 | You can get 7 update 4 here (www.oracle.com). The bottom 2 downloads. If you use 32 and 64 bit browsers Or 6 update 32 here (www.oracle.com). Uninstall ALL versions of java prior to these versions. Get Javara unzip it, then run it (singularlabs.com). Get 2 beta 3. Then follow what it says. Just miss out the uninstall option if its uninstalled. Then reinstall whatever version

2012-04-30 03:11:00 | Hi Speedy, Thanks bro, appreciate your response... Ok, just to clarify (for those such as myself who are a bit slow on this type of thing) 1. I uninstall Java - how? I cant see it listed in my Add/Remove Programmes... 2. OR... I download the 6 updates (for 32 bit browsers) and install. During the install it will automatically uninstall earlier versions. Is that correct. 3. I have looked at the site where you download. What versions should I use? Kernel, Online or Offline? Windows x86 Kernel (32-bit) 0.87 MB jre-6u32-windows-i586-iftw-k.exe Windows x86 Online (32-bit) 0.87 MB jre-6u32-windows-i586-iftw.exe Windows x86 Offline (32-bit) 16.2 MB jre-6u32-windows-i586.exe As always your assistance is appreciated...

2012-04-30 03:37:00 | Use Javara in the link I posted then select the version thats installed. Then follow what it says then install one of the versions I posted. No, I dont think (if you install a later version), it'll uninstall the old version/s. You have to uninstall the old version The offline install (unless you want to stay online after getting the other install and installing them), thats why I said the bottom downloads. Or get teamviewer install it, then run it. Send the ID and password it gives you to me, in a PM. And I'll do it for you

2012-04-30 04:56:00 | Speedy . . . reloaded my Java as explained: Downloaded, unzipped and installed JavaRa Version 2 . 0 beta #3 from HERE ( . com/software/javara/javara-download/" target="_blank">singularlabs . com) Uninstalled my current versions of Java using the 'Remove JRE' application within JavaRa . Followed the prompt and 'manually' downloaded and installed the Windows Offline version of Java . Once done I used the 'aplet' to check Java installed properly . All 100% . Then went to Java (within my Control panel) and did the update . BUT, vids will still NOT upload to Facebook . Aggggghhh!!!! Besides throwing laptop out window, any other suggestions . . . considering my Flash and Java are up to date . . . . . .
