1272737 2012-04-29 11:05:00 My current pc uses a ATI4870 which has 2 dvi ports on it running 2x22' screens, I need to run either one or two more 17' screens off it, does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do? nedkelly (9059)
1272738 2012-04-29 11:22:00 USB graphics adaptor... have used it a few times to run 4 screens of one pc that didnt have a separate graphics card. You will have to buy 2 adaptors with you want 2 more screens.

you mean resolution? not really sure, the screens i ran were just 19" 4:3, so they were in 1280x1024. best to check with PBtech.

1272741 2012-04-29 11:37:00 I mean what kind of stuff on the screen, yeah my screens I want to use are 17' squares that do 1280x1024 max. nedkelly (9059)
1272742 2012-04-29 11:50:00 Easily run four screens... Get a 6870. Can run up too 6 screens using 1 hdmi, 1 dvi and 4 on mini display using splitter cables. And with newer cards coming out its a relativly cheap buy. Also couldnt you use a splitter cavle for dvi on the card or crossfire another card. Buying another 4870 will probably be cheaper than getting those usb converter things. Slankydudl (16687)
1272743 2012-04-29 12:16:00 I have a pc waiting in the wings, I just need 1/2 more screen until then nedkelly (9059)
1272744 2012-04-29 12:18:00 Then a dvi splitter cable is the cheapest way since its only temporary. Slankydudl (16687)
1272745 2012-04-29 12:26:00 Well temporary for a month or so. nedkelly (9059)
1272746 2012-04-29 12:45:00 or a cheap 2nd graphics card would probably work if you have the slot/space for it. dugimodo (138)
