| 1272415 | 2012-04-28 03:32:00 | I was happily doing what one does on my computer, when there was a serious crack, a sound like a bad short,this came from monitor, I checked to see if contacts were good, then there was a nasty flash and more shorting noises? It is stone dead now. What now? It is a 3 year old 22" Viewsonic. |

On a more serious note - you mentioned 3 years old, how close to 3 years, because Viewsonic are very good with warranty claims, I have made them from Viewsonic even after the 3 years warranty and they replaced it still. |

There's also a 0800 number Dove and Synnex are sales agents, not service agents. Cicero, what model is it, its not a VX2250WM by any chance is it with the touch panel adjustments? See if you can find a purchase receipt, while manufacture date can be looked up through the serial number, it doesnt indicate when the end user bought it - ie: the monitor may have been made 3.5 yrs ago (36 month warranty expired), but if the end user only bought it 2.5 yrs ago, 36 month warranty is still alive. Viewsonic are good like that as WT has mentioned. Monitor Tech are the Viewsonic Repair Agents in Chch - in Wordsworth Street, Sydenham. See if you can find out when you bought it, or if you cant find out, PM me the serial number and I'll make some enquiries for you on sales date through Dove and go from there (just an option if you want).
