1250921 2011-12-28 05:06:00 Hi
Recently was upgraded to this phone, mistakenly thought it was more like a Galaxy or I-phone, anyway, it has wireless which I have, but cannot use wireless as the phone constantly wants to connect via Telecom and uses my plan rather than the Wireless.
Telecom shop says I need to turn off packet data each time I use it but they can't tell me how.
They say the phone will be confused and that Telecom data is default.
Looks like I have more than one access point also - they are labelled unidentified but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to delete them???
So in essence I need:
Telecom Data access
Wireless access
MMS
etc..............
Telecom NZ on Facebook suggested contacting you.
Thanks alot.
Deb

Wife is interested in this phone, may get it soon. BTW, what's your views on this phone as an owner? How do you rank it out of 10? Is there anything that you don't like or like?

1250924 2011-12-28 08:42:00 you go search for wireless, connect to it, then select , then click start web browsing GameJunkie (72)
1250925 2011-12-28 20:05:00 If it is similar to my C6-01, go to settings then maybe connectivity - settings . You can choose in your home country WLAN ONLY and the same when you are abroad . When the browser ask you to access the Internet just say yes .

Nokia categories Internet as WIFI or 3G . Under the APNs if you are familiar with Androids . Well Nokia does not really use the term APNs but the same thing . Under the Destinations group . It has a subgroup of Internet . That has all your Internet settings - like WIFI at home or any other place ie . , McD, waterfront, workplace, paid for etc etc . . . as well as any other like 3G 2 Degrees, XT, Voda etc . . . . Because your settings restricts it to WLAN, it will only allow WLAN and nothing else .

Re: the C6-01, my wish is a larger screen . Maybe a 4" of the N series . Offline GPS is fab . Doesn't have as much apps but has the ones I need .

1250926 2011-12-29 10:19:00 Another thing. If you don't want to do that and leave it all open. Maybe set it to prompt you - same area to select from the last. But not totally sure if 100% of the time it won't accidentally charge you. Thru the subfolder - of destinations - internet - you can change the priority as well. Like put your WIFI on priority 1 and put your 3G on priority 2 for eg ... Then technically if WIFI does not work (as its suppose to), then it will try 3G. Nomad (952)
