| 1250839 | 2011-12-27 04:20:00 | Hi folks. Recently we purchased three Wii games from Amazon.Com for our grandsons. They have noticed that it states on the box "For sale, rental and use only in USA, Canada and Mexico and Latin America". I will try to return the items to Amazon but you would think they would know that NZ is not in any of those areas, so why send them without notifying us of these restrictions. Anyone had any similar experiences of this kind from buying items from Amazon?? Smithie |

It says that on the box because developers release different versions for specific areas of the world ie MW2 had a special aus/nz version that had some of the blood toned down so it could be rated in Australia. Basically it's mainly to do with the rating systems used but can also reflect the region-locking of a game (I believe that there is a sepperate label on the boxes which tells you if it's PAL or NTSC). I wouldn't blame amazon. | icow (15313) | ||
