1250721 2011-12-28 05:43:00 A great deal of people I know are on Facebook, there is almost no one on G+.
Until this changes, G+ is worthless to me.

G+ seems to be a more tech group so the great unwashed will never go to it..

It is a bit of a chicken and egg thing but if you get one and encourage others it will be ok in the end.

The issue is that G+ has come to the game a little too late. A majority of people have no reason for switching to G+ because they are happy with Facebook, most of the people they know are on Facebook. Where is the incentive to switch to G+?

Most people don't care to switch to and try every new thing on the block. They simply aren't bothered.

Facebook is closing on a billion users, do you think all these people will switch to G+ from something they have been using for years?
Every day, more and more services have a "Log in via Facebook" feature. This is visible. How's OpenID doing these days, and how many people even know it exists?

This Timeline thing, posting everyone's entire biography, I don't think it will be to everyone's liking and perhaps this can get more people to G+. But I am not certain if it will be good enough.

While I agree with most of what you posted, there are a lot of people that are unhappy with Facebook.
The thing I hate most is the way they are always trying to get me to befriend people I wouldn't even know and have no reason to know.
I'm always getting email notifications from Facebook and mostly I just delete them without even going there.
