1272264 2012-04-27 22:37:00 The video drivers maybe causing it. ntkrnlpa.exe is a windows file. But it doesnt necessarily mean, this file is causing the crash. Where did the Nvidia video card drivers come from? A cd/dvd or from the Nvida web site? Or through windowsupdate? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1272265 2012-04-27 23:04:00 The Nvidia site, through Nvidia auto updates. Card is GeForce G210. The latest driver update was last month sometime, version 296.10
I just checked, and that is the latest one.

1272266 2012-04-27 23:12:00 Looks like that version causes probs, inc crashes, and artifacts on the screen. With different Nvidia cards (forums.nvidia.com) Inc yours. You may have to install an earlier version. In that link (in the 80th post), someone posted saying version 285.62 WHQL was stable.

And all the crashes in Google to do with that version (www.google.co.nz)

1272267 2012-04-27 23:23:00 Ok, thanks Speedy, I will see if I can get 285.62 WHQL and give that a try! Should I uninstall the 296 v first, or after the other one?

1272268 2012-04-27 23:26:00 If you find the earlier drivers, uninstall 296 first Speedy Gonzales (78)
1272269 2012-04-27 23:31:00 Do I uninstall it through Device Manager? lakewoodlady (103)
1272270 2012-04-28 00:00:00 No programs and features in control panel Speedy Gonzales (78)
1272271 2012-04-28 01:22:00 Ok, I have done that and successfully installed the 285.62 driver. Will see if that works without freezing or bsods.

Many thanks Speedy, what would we do without you!
