1273388 2012-05-03 08:39:00 Windows 7 Been using Thunderbird for some time no problems. Now it is corrupted and takes me off the net and freezes the pc.when I use the inbox ,but I cant do a clean uninstall. When I do new install it still has all my folders etc. and obviously the corruption.
How can I uninstall completely....keep it simple....Thanks

1273389 2012-05-03 08:42:00 Use ccleaner or revio uninstaller. ccleaner should be able to uninstall and clean out reg files and temp files. stratex5 (16685)
1273390 2012-05-03 08:46:00 One way is described uninstall-thunderbird-completely-then-reinstall.html (www.ehow.com)

Personally I use Revo Portable uninstaller in advanced mode, then double check that the actual profile folder has gone as well. Sometimes it doesn't always come out, hence you have the old versions still there.

Had to do it a few times lately, when it corrupts it really corrupts ;)

1273391 2012-05-03 22:12:00 The important bit is getting the profile out as well as the program itself. Most likely to be the profile causing the problem. pctek (84)
1273392 2012-05-04 03:45:00 Thanks guys, I did the uninstall completely sequence okay but on using the shortcut to start Thunderbird again it told me it was already running and to close it which has me a bit foxed.
Decided to do the full sequence again but when trying to uninstall got the blue screen with the message it was dumping this and that in readiness for some calamity Not good.
