12050 2001-05-01 06:26:00 I used to use a Pentium 60 for my server box with a 33.6k modem, it had pci slots but they wouldnt work! and i wanted to put my pci 56k modem in it, i think the bios needs configuring but im not a genius. Anyway, since then I was given a Pentium100 which runs well, i am using Winroute to share the 56k internet connection (to xtra) across 2 other computers, its only used for chat / mp3s usually but sometimes i like to play games, and the server likes to crash when i decide to have some fun. It is REALLY getting on my nerves because I was once a quake addict and now that I am an admin for some of xtras servers I cant take advantage of it. Please help, I cant understand how a p100 can be more Unstable than a p60 (o btw, i use win98se)

12051 2001-05-02 00:34:00 You problem is likely windows or winroute. Without the actual error I can't tell you. There is a dial up networking update for windows 9x to version 1.3 available on the microsoft site, it may help. Guest (0)
12052 2001-05-02 06:00:00 i suspected it would be a winroute fault. anyone know where i can get a program like winroute which can do the following:

dhcp server
packet mapping
internat sharing thru dialup
