From time to time I like to listen to music from certain web sites, but never get more than a minutes worth before there is a long break followed by another few seconds of music. This happens weather the source is Java or MP3. I have asked the people at Music Match . com, they said that it is a browser issue. The people at NeoPlanet . com told me to talk to the people who supplied my music player! Windows help isn't (as usual), Can someone out there advise me please? |

I got told that it is usually an isp fault, not the rest that you have been told. Will be interesting to see what everybody else comes up with. |

This problem is common when listening to music/video over the internet if you have a slow network connection. The problem with dial up connections is that they can not download the music at the same rate it is being played. Software usually tries to overcome this by creating a buffer which it plays as the rest of the song is being loaded. If the buffer runs out before the remaining song has been loaded you will get these pauses. Check your player settings for an option to increase the buffer size or try downloading the song completely before playing it from your hard drive. |
