12063 2001-05-01 07:26:00 I have an .exe file that shows it was modified in 2094.
It works fine but if I try to alter security or copy to CDR it will no do it. I read some where how to change the time attributes on files but have forgotten the source. Anyone point me in the right direction?

12064 2001-05-01 13:33:00 ...is this what you were looking for (?):

In My Computer or Windows Explorer, click the file or folder whose properties you want to change.
On the File menu, click Properties.
Enter any changes in the Properties dialog box.

You can also right-click a folder or file that is on your desktop, and then click Properties.
To select a folder in the left pane of Windows Explorer, click the folder.

12066 2001-05-01 23:16:00 Don,

The ability to change the time and date stamp is not included as part of Windows but you can download utilities to do it.

PropertiesPlus in the NZ PC World will add this capability and it works with NT. This add-on lets you modify file attributes, extensions, and time stamps. You can use a single dialog box to make all these changes for a single file, for multiple files, or for all the files in a folder.

12067 2001-05-02 01:59:00 just add a zero byte file to it, in a command window and the file will then have the current date.

eg dummy.txt ( zero bytes )

copy file.exe+dummy.txt
