| 12268 | 2001-05-07 07:18:00 | The floppy disc drive on my computer keeps on looking for a disc just after start-up or if you move the mouse pointer over the documents folder in the start menu. My computer is running windows ME. Any Ideas???? |

( task bar properties, 2nd tab) Try puting in a floppy - any error boxes ? Also you can change your boot order in BIOS from A,C to C,A. SG |

What you descibe can happen if your computer is trying to update its document menu on startup,(or when your mouse is near it etc) I had a similar problem and it was solved simply by clearing the Documents area on the Start Menu: So unless you have done this already, try the following: Start\Settings\Taskbar&StartMenu\StartMenuPrograms, and in the Documents Menu area click the Clear button. Hope this helps. |
