| 12246 | 2001-05-06 07:55:00 | When I close IE5.5 I no longer get a prompt after to disconnect from the Internet. This happened after I downloaded an update from the windows site that installed 128 Bit Encryption into IE 5.5. I HAVE DISCONNECT WHEN CONNECTION MAY NOT BE NEEDED Ticked in DUN. I have even rung Microsoft who told me to modify the Autodisconnect registry string to no avail. They now tell me NAV has interfered with the Service pack upgrade and I need a clean install of ME!!! Help!!! | Guest (0) | ||

This is not necesarily internet explorer, it could for instance be outlook express or a second iteration of internet explorer loaded by selecting windows update. Try this, load IE and establish a connection then exit all of the applications displayed in the task bar leaving IE to last then exit IE. HTH PC. |
