| 12200 | 2001-05-05 04:55:00 | I can connect to my ISP but am unable to access websites, send/receive email or use any internet related app eg Naviscope. IE 5.5 says 'This page cannot be displayed.....' Netscape Messenger says '...socket connection could not be established....'. Laplink says 'TCP/IP is unavailable....'. In Control Panel under Network, TCP/IP is setup as is the Dial-up Adapter. I have re-installed Win98, removed dial-up networking and added it back - all to no avail. Please HELP!! Currently using daughter's computer. Many thanks. |

The two checkboxes at the bottom of this screen should also (normally) be checked, now press OK, and pray that this works..... |

If you haven't already, may I suggest you use your Windows Trouble Shooter Function: Go: Start > Help > Contents > Trouble Shooting > Trouble Shooters > Dial-up Networking > then click onto 'I am receiving the error message 'Internet Explorer can't display a web page' or 'A connection to the server cannot be established' then click Next and follow the easy steps. |
