| 12364 | 2001-05-09 01:39:00 | Format Problem I have just installed a HP Inkjet and with it I was delighted to receive also Adobe Photo DE Lux Business Edition 1.1 I already had Picture Photo Premium 2001 on my computer with many files in bmp-- tiff?jpeg?text mix?mix Which in the past I have had no trouble in printing. Now Adobe has changed all files and appears to only let me print Bmp files I am at present frustrated as there is a particular Text mix, which is of historical significance, and I don?t appear to be able to print or change it. Surely there must be a way for changing file formats to suit a Printer?. Help Wallace Neilson |

| 12365 | 2001-05-09 10:43:00 | No picture editing programs ever change your files. But, they will 'associate' files according to their extensions. If you have a particular format which you wish to associate with a previous program, you need to change it's association. One way is in Windows Explorer, hold SHIFT button & Right-Click a file of that type. Click 'Open With...', choose the program to open that type from now on, tick the box 'Always open it with this program'. |

| 12366 | 2001-05-10 03:22:00 | Thanks Ross I find I have no trouble with normal formats now.....but I can't print mix. text mix. from scanning with Picture Photo Premium 2001 from Microsoft I have tried Prt Sceen Copy and paste as an alternative but the printing result is abismal. I don't know enough aboutAdobe Photo de lux Business Edition yet to know if I can scan again and then add text. You advise that no editing program ever changes your files....so how was I able to get the original file in Picture Photo 2001 but am unable now Adobe is installed. It has completely changed many files on my Hard Drive...wondering Wallace. |
