| 12348 | 2001-05-08 12:24:00 | Hi All Recently did a clean install of Win 98SE on my Dell Latitude CPi 366. Have gone to sign up with an internet connection and have got to a stage where I can connect but Internet Explorer cannot display page and Outlook Express does not recognise server. ISP Techs have given up on me so did a ping at DOS prompt and got the following message - 'unable to initialise windows sockets interface, error code 0' Microsoft article indicates it may be a corrupted or missing registry file with error code 6, will this apply in my situation? Thanks for any help. Mark Trumper |
