| 12367 | 2001-05-09 05:21:00 | I have just got my pc back from a technician that was installing a new operating system for me.(yes i'm a newbie)When i gave it to him 'My Computer' listed my ram as 128mb.Now it says i have 32mb.When asked about this the technician told me that it was a software problem and that i never had 128mb's of ram in the first place even though i distinctly remeber him telling me i had 128mb's before he took the pc as well !Have i been ripped off? :0( | Guest (0) | ||
| 12368 | 2001-05-09 06:52:00 | Hello James It certainly sounds very suspicious, if before you took your computer to be fixed,it was recognising 128MB of ram, before booting into Windows, this is almost certainly what you had installed. Also try and dig out the spec of the PC from your original documentation. I would certainly ask a few more questions of your PC tech. Alan |
