| 12519 | 2001-05-12 17:17:00 | About a week ago I posted my problem regarding the very anoying breaks in streaming music from the internet. I forgot to say what equipment I was using; Win98 IE 5.5, A PIII, with Soundblaster 16,and a 56k modem. I thank those who responded though they didn't help. Frustration made me search, and experiment-and I stumbled on the answer. Here it is for those who also have this problem and similar equipment. Go to Start,Settings,Control Pannel, Modems,General tab,Properties,Connection,PortSettings and de-select the ''use FIFO buffers''. Using these buffers requires 16550 compatable UART, which I have; but the problem is SOLVED! I hope some of you find this helpfull. Vince |
