12543	2001-05-13 08:28:00	I would urge you to consider what you will gain by upgrading to Windows 98. Although your system spec's would not prevent you from upgrading it would affect your system performance. Since IE has been integrated into the OS it uses much more system resources and slows the system. A typical installation of Win98 can take up 260Mb of disk space depending on your configuration, in comparison Win95 only occupies approximately 80Mb. Alot of the 'new' features of Win98 can be gained by installing IE. If you do decide to upgrade I would suggest that you upgrade your RAM from 8Mb to 16Mb, this will increase performance even under Windows 95. To upgrade, insert the Windows 98 CD and the installation routine will begin.	Guest (0)

12545	2001-05-16 14:56:00	I wouldn't recommend upgrading. Your computers specifications aren't good enough. If you managed to install Win98, it would be extremely slow. Your system is ok for Win95, but I would recommend upgrading you RAM for better performance. As a general rule you require a minimum of 16Mb ram for Win95 and 32Mb for Win98 if you want any sort of performance. Your hard disk drive is also a bit small. By the time you account for the Windows install, swap file space, temporary internet files, other temporary files, and the area reserved by the recycle bin, there isn't a lot left. If you don't need Win98 to support an application not supported by Win95, then stay with what you have.	Guest (0)
